Warm greetings in the name of Jesus!
As we launch into the new year with all its challenges and uncertainties,
how encouraging to know that God remains intrinsically faithful and in Christ,
we have every resource we need to live victoriously.
With so much peripheral noise, it’s imperative that we make time to invest reading and studying God’s Word,
daily aligning our hearts and minds with His eternal truth.
As the Psalmist reminds us, “Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path”. (Psalm 119:105)
Like soldiers prepared for battle, this investment in the Word of God and prayer
will ensure we are thoroughly equipped to deal with the challenges of the day.
Added to that, it’s good to be reminded that we have the Holy Spirit,
the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, living on the inside of us.
God is not just with us, but by the power of His Spirit, He is in us.
For those who are feeling weary and a little overwhelmed,
be encouraged by the words of Isaiah, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles; They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
My prayer is that each of us would know the blessing and favour of God upon our lives,
His face shining upon us and that in turn,
we might be a blessing to others.
