Welcome to the GBC week of Prayer and Fasting!
As we enter this special week of prayer and fasting, let’s be reminded of the powerful words in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call unto Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.” What a privilege to be able to stand in the gap for our church, our nation and the world at this critical time in history. Remember the principle: ‘WHEN MAN WORKS, MAN WORKS, BUT WHEN MAN PRAYS, GOD WORKS!’ May you be greatly blessed and encouraged as you set aside time every day this week to pray. HOW TO PRAY?
1. Pray with Faith- Heb 11:6 “ And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” 2. Pray with Expectancy- Eph 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” 3. Pray with Perseverance- Gal 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” 4. Pray with Availability- Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I.
